TutorialHow can I manage posts for my social media pages?

You can easily manage your posts and content that your business produces by using the “Manage Posts in Social Networks” widget. Within one session you can plan all your Facebook activities ahead of time and not have to worry about missing deadlines or posting wrong content by mistake.

 

How can I create a post from scratch?

To create a new post, you need to click on the “Manage Posts in Social Networks” widget on your dashboard. From there, you will be brought to a weekly calendar. The current day will be highlighted in green. To create a new post, click on the “+” button underneath the desired day that you want the post to be posted to Facebook.

From there you can create the post from scratch or have access to Solomoto’s Collection Bank of pre-made posts that were designed for your business.

When creating a post from scratch or using one of Solomoto’s pre-made posts, you can edit or add text, emojis, images, links, articles, and the exact date and time you want the post to be posted to social media.

Remember, Solomoto will automatically post your message on the desired time regardless of you being logged in your Solomoto account.

When you are happy with your post, you can press the grey “Save” button to save a draft or press that will not post to your social media or the green “Schedule” button to allow Solomoto to post the message to your social media at the desired time. Note, Solomoto will only schedule posts when you buy either a monthly or annual package. This feature is not supported on free accounts.

What is a Solomoto pre-made post and how can I access them?

Solomoto makes posting relevant and high quality content easy by providing you and your business pre-made template posts that are beautiful and are specific to your business. You can access these posts by clicking the “+” button under the desired day to create a new post in the “Manage Posts in Social Networks” widget and then clicking the green “Content Bank” button on the left-hand side.

You will then be brought to a new screen where you can search through different types of pre-made posts such as promotional, seasonal, themes & topics, entertainment, and your favorites. The promotional posts were designed to encourage customers to follow you on social media by posting exclusive deals, sales, or other promotions to your page. The seasonal posts are those that are timely posts that correspond to seasons or holidays. These will help you engage with your customers on a personal level.

The themes & topics posts are fun and creative posts that correspond to specific themes that might interest your customers while simultaneously supporting your business. The entertainment posts will help you establish relationships with your customers by providing funny quotes, memes, or spreading good vibes. Lastly, your favorite posts are those that you enjoy and favorited from one of the other categories.

How can I search for a specific Solomoto pre-made post?

When you are inside the “Collection Bank,” you can choose the type or collection of posts that you are interested in (e.g. promotional). Once there, you can further narrow down your search by clicking a category on the left side bar. This will help you find the post that you are looking for quickly.

How do I favorite a Solomoto’s pre-made post?

It’s important to notify us which posts you like because we can then show you similar content and, you will then be able to find the post more easily by looking through your Favorites folder in our “Collection Bank.”

To favorite a post, simply mouse-over the post that you like that we have created and click the star on the top right corner of the post. The star will then turn white which means that you have now favorited that post where it can now be found in your favorites folder.

How can I edit a saved or scheduled post in my weekly calendar?

You can edit a saved or scheduled post in your weekly calendar by simply clicking on that post. You will then open up an edit window where you can change any detail you want about your post.

When you are happy with the changes, press either the grey “Save” button to save but not schedule your post to be posted or press the green “Schedule” button to schedule the updated post to be posted to your Social Media page.

Can I edit a pre-made Solomoto post?

Yes of course you can! We highly encourage you change our pre-made or template posts so you can add your business’ personality and information. When searching through the pre-made posts in the Content Bank, mouse-over the post you want to edit, and press the green “Open” button. From there, the post’s information will be transferred to an edit window where you can change or delete any info that you do not want.

Once you are done editing and are happy with the changes, you can either press the grey “Save” button to save the existing post, but not schedule it to be posted, or you can press the green “Schedule” button to schedule the message to be posted to your Facebook page.

What is an emoji?

An emoji is a small character or icon that depicts an emotion. It is very popular with younger audiences and can add personality to your post. Common emojis include red hearts (signify love, affection, like), the crying happy face (funny, laughing), and the smiling face (happy, sweet, nice).

How can I add images to my post?

You can add images to your post by uploading images from the internet or from your computer or tablet. You can also use images from Solomoto’s collection. If you have previously uploaded an image to Solomoto, you can find that image in the “My Collection” tab.

If you want to edit your selected image, you can do so by clicking the edit (pencil) icon on the picture which will bring you to an editing screen. There are several effects you can do including changing the light, shadows, contrast, color, sharpness, or adding frames and stickers.

Can I add multiple pictures to my Facebook post?

Yes, you can. You can add as many photos as you want.

Can I schedule more than one post for the same day?

Yes, you can! You can schedule up to 16 posts per day for your Facebook page. Each post can have the same or different time and can be different formats. To create another post on a day that already has a scheduled post, click the “+” button underneath the previously scheduled post on the desired day to create and schedule another post for that same day.

How can I schedule one or multiple posts thanks to the weekly calendar?

You can schedule as many posts as you want on the weekly calendar by clicking the “+” button underneath the desired day to create and schedule a post for that day. You can schedule as many posts as you would like for that week and even for one day.

If you want to schedule a post far in advance (for greater than one week), simply click the “Next Week” button found on the top right of the screen to schedule posts or view your already scheduled posts for the following week.

How can I schedule posts far in advance (greater than one week in advance)?

If you want to schedule a post far in advance (for greater than one week), simply click the “Next Week” button found on the top right of the screen to schedule posts or view your already scheduled posts for the following week.

To get back to your current week, you can click the “Previous Week” button found on the top left of the screen to go back one week and return to the current week.

If you would like to schedule a post very far in advance (several weeks or months in advance), you can mouse-over the calendar icon on the left hand side of the screen and click the desired week or month that you want to view. To change the month on the calendar icon, simply click the right arrow see the next month or the left arrow to see the previous month. Then, click on a week to view those week’s posts and/or schedule a post during that week.

How can I see when I schedule my posts?

You can see all your scheduled posts by mousing-over the calendar icon on the left-hand side of the screen where the current month you are viewing will be displayed. The green dots underneath a day on that month signals that you have an active post that is ready to be posted or scheduled on that day.

What’s the maximum number of character for my posts?

The maximum number of characters in a Facebook post is 8,000 characters including spaces and punctuation.

How many posts can I schedule for a specific date?

Facebook allows a maximum of 16 posts per day per Fan page.

Why I can only schedule posts for specific time slots?

Due to technical limitations, from the moment a post was scheduled and the time of its publication, a period of 35 minutes need to pass. This is why the first available slot for scheduling is normally 35 minutes later than the current time.

How can I delete a scheduled post?

You can delete a scheduled post by mousing-over the desired post and clicking the trash icon on the top right corner to permanently delete it from being posted.

Note, Solomoto cannot delete a post if it has already posted to your Facebook page, you would need to manually go into Facebook and delete it if you wish to do so.

Can I schedule posts on my personal Facebook Profile?

No. We do not support scheduling posts for your personal timeline.

The best format to present business on social media is a fan page as this format allows your subscribers easily follow your timeline, comment your posts and communicate with each other.

If you wish to grow your business and gain more clients, it is highly suggested to use your a public fan page to engage with your clients.
