If there is one thing we can all agree on, it’s that running a business is hard work. You know what’s harder than that? Being a wife, mother, business owner, and running a Twitter page all at once. These are just some of the accomplishments that I wanted to highlight on International Women’s Day.

What better way to pay tribute to the hard working women in our lives then with a list of 8 women who are running a small business and killing it on Twitter!

 

  1. Sierra Anne Sandison

Siera was named Miss Idaho in 2014, and she lives with type 1 diabetes. She is the business owner of Sugar Linings Swag, which is a way to empower people living with type 1 diabetes through humor and positivity. Sierra is truly inspiring certainly worth following!

 

  1. Jillian McClenahan

Jillian is the small business owner of The Anastasia Co. which offers uniquely customized paper goods and other products. She says that she has always had an entrepreneurial spirit in her, even from a young age. Jillian is making great products and is doing an awesome job showing her work all over social media.

 

  1. Elisabeth Weinberg

Elisabeth runs Miss Elisabeth’s Catering in New York. She has been cooking since she was a child, helping her mother and grandmother make big meals at family gatherings. Elisabeth is passionate about supporting local farms, and I passionately support her.

 

  1. Liz Rotz

I should really have Liz’s name twice on this list, because she owns two businesses! She owns All You Need Is Paper, where she designs stationery, invitations, and custom gifts. Liz also owns Memory Miser, selling scrapbooking and craft supplies. I’m not sure how Liz manages to run two business and two children, but I applaud her for doing so!

 

  1. Kathy Bennett

Kathy started Floor 13 Textiles back in 2012, after spending 20 years in the high-end home furnishings industry, where she identified “a void in the marketplace” which she decided to fill. Her business acts as a sourcing company, providing solutions to interiors with specific needs. Kathy says she loves her work, and I love it too!

 

  1. Sara Guerard

Sara is the owner of Sunset Lake Fitness, whose programs run on simple equipment and leverage innovative scientific discoveries. Her business boasts to have the most motivational trainers in the industry.

 

  1. Nicole Pepe

Nicole is the small business owner of Sparkle N Shine Custom Crafting, which has been on Etsy since 2013. Nicole describes herself on Twitter as a “dancer, dreamer, crafty lady and Sassy Italian princess”. Keep up the great work Nicole!

 

  1. Reema Chanco

Reema is the restaurant owner of Wingman Grill which serves wings and other mouthwatering foods. Reema is a sports addict, fitness trainer, and a dog lover. I have never been to Wingman Grill, but now I really want to go! Awesome job Reema, congratulations on all your success.
